As with traditional accounting firms, Social Practice ENT is a trading entity. However, we are set up as a not-for-profit organisation, driven primarily by our social justice objectives. We therefore apply commercial strategies to help solve social issues  — with all surpluses being reinvested back into the social enterprise. 
 
In order to ensure compliance with the regulations set out for accountants in practice by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), our Accounting, Advisory and Consultancy activities are carried out by Social Practice ENT whilst our social projects are carried out separately by The Social Practice Academy. The entities are collectively referred to as Social Practice ENT & Academy, and are led by the Executive Director.
