Supporting Young Trustees
Training that pays forward
In order to build an inclusive and welcoming board culture where young trustees can thrive, a shift is required to move away from simply tolerating/accommodating diversity – to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity.
Duration 1.5hrs (online)
As the number of young people joining charity trustee boards continues to increase, we believe that systemic change is required to ensure that young trustees are supported and included in a meaningful way. This is particularly important when working with young people from underrepresented communities.
Our approach to building inclusive board cultures that support young trustees therefore involves looking at the whole ‘charity trustees ecosystem’, including all its components and the relationships between them. Achieving this systemic change requires innovation, experimentation as well as constant learning and adaptation.
During this interactive session, we will explore avenues to share power in meaningful ways on intergenerational boards.

As a registered social enterprise, we're participating in Social Enterprise UK's flagship campaign, 'Buy Social'.
Buying social is about using your money, as an individual or an organisation, to create a positive impact on the world we live in. When you buy from a social enterprise you are choosing to spend your money with a business that is giving something back, reinvesting their profits to address the most pressing issues, from homelessness and unemployment to ethical trade and climate change.
